Library plans seminars for teen boys
The Californian, 30 April 2011

A conference for young men in grades 10 to 12 is planned at the Murrieta Public Library on Thursday.

The "4 The Guys: Empowering Tomorrow's Men" conference was developed to provide 50-minute seminars for teens to give them an opportunity to learn a variety of social skills. Organizers say the talk will include highly useful finance, job search and interviewing tips, shared by local individuals and agencies.

Made possible by a grant from the Verizon Foundation, the event is a collaboration between the Murrieta Public Library Foundation, the Friends of the Murrieta Library and the Temecula Valley

Woman's Club, which have worked together to provide presenters, gift bag items and an iPad2 as a giveaway prize for the conference.

Pre-registration is required by Wednesday because space is limited. The only "cost" for participants is a commitment to sharing at least one idea or concept learned from the conference with a friend who did not attend the event at 24700 Jefferson Ave. in Murrieta.
