In the fall of 2022, the city of Murrieta embarked on a once-in-a-generation project to expand the children’s area of the library.
Murrieta Public Library has long been admired by our community for its robust programming and fantastic library staff, and that’s a direct reflection of Murrieta’s approach to library service — the library is run by the City just like our award-winning Police and Fire departments. To continue to offer the most impactful services and programs to a growing number of patrons, it was determined that our library space isn’t keeping pace with the continued population expansion in Murrieta.
In June 2024, the city council voted to advance this project, but to fully fund the expansion, we need the support of local residents and businesses to bring this space to life!
Donations of any size are welcome and we have created recognition levels starting at $250 and above (anonymous donations are welcome too). They are:
